I know I complained about The College Dropout lasting over an hour and being peppered with pointless skits, thought the same issues didn't bother me as much with Stankonia for some reason. Not to say the album is better, although I think I liked it a little more. OutKast is a bit different, more experimental and weird than most other successful hip hop acts. There are a lot of guests on the record, though they rarely outperform the main members of the group, Big Boi and Andre 3000. They sound pretty similar, although the content of their lyrics tends to differ, and Big Boi raps faster while Andre is more playful and enunciates more. Speakerboxxx/ The Love Below

Several of the songs on this CD are good, but HEY YA is exceptional. The part about Shake It Like a Polaroid Picture has got to be one of the all time best and original lyrics. I just wonder if most people that listen to this have ever actually seen a Polaroid camera that was instant developing. They were once very common, but have not been for years. And yes, everyone did shake those pictures, even though the Polaroid Company said not to. My grandparents included. Brings back some really funny memories. The video is really good too - I think it is on YouTube.

While this is their only album I can do without, the country-fried debut still contains enough creativity to hint at the trail these outcasts would blaze on future releases. Some fans claim to always love this most traditional southern rap entry most, but besides for a few creatively produced tracks, a numbing standardization belies the originality this dangerous duo would come to represent.

Outkast reached the top with their 2cd issue anything else lives in its shadow only 2 songs popped for me Ms Jackson & ..World, maybe its an ATL thing, track 1 is grating after 2x.

Aside from the silly film loosely linking the material, this could easily be considered a b-sides album of later-era Outkast- not the worst thing for hip hop in general but ultimately a big soggy bite into fan expectations of a genuine studio release.

I really love the music on here especially Me'Shell NdegeOcello. The songs by Tori Amos, AMAZING!!! The movie is wonderful, it really shows the issues that are existing today.

The musical content was good. I ordered this item used from the seller. I requested the clean version. The version I received had profanity. The packaging was terrible. The CD did not come in the original packaging. The CD was placed in a plastic cover and surrounded by paper towel. I was really disappointed with the seller.
